Booking
We are completely flexible on arrival dates. We know some guests prefer to avoid travelling at weekends so we are happy to accommodate midweek arrivals, but if arriving on a Saturday or Sunday is more convenient we also welcome those start dates.
Our rates vary according to the time of year and the length of your stay. In the main season they are normally £890 for a 7-night visit and £770 for 7 nights at other times. Longer or shorter stays are priced accordingly, and we ask for a minimum 3-night booking.
We are open all year round and we offer discounted rates for winter visits, including for the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies festivals.
We sometimes offer short-notice breaks at a special price, so please contact us to discuss.
Guests are welcome to arrive from 4pm, and we ask them to leave by 9:30am on the last day to allow us time to prepare the cottage for the next guests. We may be able to offer earlier arrival and later departure times at no charge.

Arranging your stay
Rather than using an automated system, we feel it’s nicer to discuss arrangements directly with our guests and answer any questions, so please contact us on 07927 295262 or by e-mail at booking@theroostcottage.co.uk.
Before booking, please see our Your Stay page for more about what is included and, in particular, our restrictions on pets, children and access.
We ask for a £100 deposit on booking, with the balance due at least 4 weeks before the start of your holiday. For bookings made less than 4 weeks before the start of the holiday, we ask for the full balance on booking.
We welcome payments by electronic transfer or, if guests prefer, cheque.
Bookings are subject to our Terms and Conditions, a copy of which we will send to all guests on booking.
